Most people don't think much about how their EV gets charged at home - until there's a problem. A loose outlet, weather damage, or an unsafe setup can turn a simple convenience into a real headache. Getting it done right from the start is what separates a setup that lasts from one that doesn't.

Here's what we were working with - an outdoor EV outlet installation tied into an existing Tesla gateway panel. We ran conduit clean and tight along the exterior wall, mounted a dedicated EV outlet in a weatherproof enclosure with a lock box, and made sure every connection was solid and protected from the elements.

That lock box is worth calling out specifically. Outdoor electrical work takes a beating from rain, humidity, and temperature swings. A proper weatherproof enclosure keeps moisture and debris out of the outlet while the locking cover adds an extra layer of security. It's a small detail that makes a big difference over time.

The conduit work is clean and intentional - nothing cobbled together or left exposed. When we do outdoor electrical work, we treat it like it needs to hold up for years without any babysitting. Because it does.

If you've been putting off setting up a dedicated EV charging outlet at home, this is what a done-right installation looks like. No shortcuts, no guesswork - just dependable electrical work that makes charging your car at home simple and stress-free.
