Getting a hot tub is exciting. Getting it wired wrong is a nightmare. That's the reality a lot of homeowners don't think about until something goes wrong - a tripped breaker, a damaged control board, or worse. The electrical side of a spa installation isn't something to cut corners on.

On this job, we ran a dedicated spa circuit from the panel out to the hot tub location. That means the spa has its own circuit - nothing shared, nothing borrowed from another line in the house. That's important because hot tubs pull a significant load, and running them on anything less than a properly sized dedicated circuit is asking for trouble.

We also installed a spa disconnect box right on the exterior wall, close to the unit. Code requires a disconnect within sight of the spa, and for good reason - it gives you a safe, accessible way to cut power before doing any maintenance or service work on the tub. It's a small detail that makes a big difference for long-term safety.

The conduit work runs clean along the wall and up through the covered patio area. Everything is secured, protected, and built to handle outdoor conditions. This isn't just about passing inspection - it's about making sure the system holds up for years without issues.

When you add a hot tub at home, the electrical work is just as important as the tub itself. We do this the right way every time - proper sizing, proper protection, and everything up to code from the start.
